Call out for Community support for Children's Show

Dave from Te Awamutu

Hey Everyone, I'm a creative artist here in Te Awamutu

I have been working on a project the last 3 months to bring a FREE Childrens show into Libraries by ways of a Pantomime Puppet show!

I can do the physical work to get the show running, but I haven't got the financial means to be able to fund this myself.

This is where I am calling for your help and the whole communities help, to be able to fund the building of the puppets and their theatre.

Please any help, even if only $5 will go a long way to get this project across the finish line!

Btw there are REWARDS!! click the #Pledgeme link to check them out!!

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Starting gun sounds for housing on Te Rapa Racecourse land with re-zoning

Libby Totton Reporter from Waikato Times

Hamilton City councillors have signed off on a plan change that could see Te Rapa Racecourse swap stables for townhouses.

The deputy mayor says this paves the way for “basically creating a new suburb within the city”.
