What is it?
A friend on Facebook posted this picture of an object found on Ruakaka beach which is in Northland a few kms south of Marsden Point (oil refinery).
Apparently there were lots of them so it's not just a ball lost by a child or pet. More likely to have an industrial use or perhaps commercial fishing.
Does anyone recognise it?
