We know about Northland’s unsealed roads, our changeable weather and the fact that our people live over a wide-spread area that’s often difficult to access quickly by road. We’re also aware of the increased risk of death and serious injury caused when medical treatment is delayed – all of which makes Northland’s Rescue Helicopter service so essential.

Parts of Northland have experienced their driest period for more than 80 years. A sprinkler ban has been introduced in Kaikohe and people in all areas are encouraged to save water now to avoid further restrictions. What will you be doing this summer to save water?

Everyone is being urged to conserve water now, to avoid more severe restrictions later in the year. This is due to one of the driest years in Northland in more than 80 years.
