Amazing stories in HB

Steve from Mayfair

My industry that I work in has it's ups and downs but when you get to be involved in seeing a story like this unfold, you realise that you get to be a part of some amazing life changing stories that make you proud to be in the industry. This one takes the biscuit!

Imagine being in the situation of this couple during the cyclone. You can read their story in the link below.

www.nzherald.co.nz...

I was selling a home in Havelock North last month and my colleague Gavin approached me about the couple in the article who were interested in this property and had basically escaped the cyclone damaged home of theirs with the clothes on their back. My Vendors heard their story and commented that it was their turn to help a victim of the cyclone. So they sold them the house and gifted nearly everything in it, right down to the beds and washing machine, knives and forks!

There are some amazing people in our community and seeing the joy of both these couples, the givers and the receivers, well for me this is real community spirit.
