We want your questions!
Western Bay, what's something you'd like to ask the candidates standing in the elections this year? ?
Whatever your question is, submit them to us and those standing in the election could be answering your question on the night of your local debate! Here's how it works:
1. Submit your question to us via our website or fill out a printed form at one of our centres before Friday 19 August 2022.
2. We'll group the questions into themes and select a handful to be asked*. If you're stuck on what to ask, have a look at our pre-election report. It has info on the current local government landscape and an overview of our key projects: www.westernbay.govt.nz...
3. Watch the debates! Who doesn't love a debate? You can watch them from the comfort of your own home via our livestream or you can attend them live:
*Please note: although it would be great to ask the candidates every single question submitted, it would be a very, very long night. We'll make sure there's a good spread of questions however we won't be shying away from hot topics.
Live Q&A: Garden maintenance with Crewcut
This Wednesday, we are having another Neighbourly Q&A session. This time with John Bracewell from Crewcut.
John Bracewell, former Black Caps coach turned Franchisee Development Manager and currently the face of Crewcut’s #Movember campaign, knows a thing or two about keeping the grass looking sharp—whether it’s on a cricket pitch or in your backyard!
As a seasoned Crewcut franchisee, John is excited to answer your lawn and gardening questions. After years of perfecting the greens on the field, he's ready to share tips on how to knock your garden out of the park. Let's just say he’s as passionate about lush lawns as he is about a good game of cricket!
John is happy to answer questions about lawn mowing, tree/hedge trimming, tidying your garden, ride on mowing, you name it! He'll be online on Wednesday, 27th of November to answer them all.

When John was six years old he hammered a nail into his favorite tree to mark his height.
Ten years later at age sixteen, John returned to see how much higher the nail was.
