*Library and Service Centres*
All our service centres (Barkes Corner, Katikati, Te Puke, Ōmokoroa and Waihī Beach) will be closed from midday Friday 23 December - Monday 9 January.

*Kerbside Rubbish and Recycling Collections*
Kerbside collections will remain unchanged for most of our District, so carry on putting your bins by out by 7am on your normal day.
If you’ve got a holiday rental, please make sure to let visitors know about pay-as-you-throw (PAYT) tags, where to purchase them and how to attach them correctly. Send them here if you need info: kerbsidecollective.co.nz...

There will be extra collections for holiday hotspots: Waihī Beach, Athenree, Bowentown and Pukehina to help with the holiday overflow. kerbsidecollective.co.nz...

*Recycling Centres*
Our recycling and greenwaste centres may have different opening hours and days to usual over the holiday period, so make sure to check hours below before you go!

There will also be excess glass drop-off at Ōmokoroa Greenwaste Centre to help make the big holiday glass recycling easier! These bins will be available every Wednesday and Saturday, 2pm to 4pm from 21 December to 28 January (excluding Saturday 24 December).

Sustainabox and Recyclasaurus Rex (our mobile recycling trailers) will finish up on Saturday 17 December, 9am to 1pm at Te Ranga School and start up again on Saturday 7 January at Omanawa Hall and BP Pongakawa, 9am to 1pm.

*Building and Resource Consents – clock stops*
Our teams will work as hard as possible to process your consent applications! But just know that the period from Tuesday 20 December through to Tuesday 10 January is excluded from the 20-working-day statutory timeframe for building consents, code of compliance certificates and resource consents - so any applications submitted on or after Tuesday 20 December may not begin to be processed until after 10 January.

Week 1, starting Saturday 1 October from 9am - 1pm:

Omanawa Hall, 560 Omanawa Road, Omanawa

Week 2, starting Saturday 8 October from 9am - 1pm:
Te Ranga School, 1492 Te Matai Road, Te Ranga

You’ll be able to recycle:
- Clean glass beverage and food jars - green, clear, brown (no lids)
- Clean plastics -numbers 1, 2, 5 only (no lids)
- Clean tins and drink cans
- Flattened cardboard and paper

And just like with any recycling service, contamination can be a problem! So please rinse your recyclables, flatten your cardboard, and remove lids.

Just a reminder that the trailers do have a limited capacity, so please only bring "kerbside amounts" of recycling. This service is not intended for commercial use, stockpiled or large items like fridge boxes. Things like that should go to our recycling centres.

If you're unsure of anything, there will be a Council team member on-site at all times to answer questions and help you sort your recycling.

Residents of Arawa Road, Pongakawa: we're looking to create a neighbourhood reserve and other recreational facilities on Arawa Road and would love to hear your thoughts!

Our draft concept plan features a new neighbourhood reserve, to be developed at the end of the formed section on Arawa Road. We're thinking:

- A ‘rural-inspired’ playground

- Pump track

- Community garden

- Signage, seating, shade and planting

- Future walking and cycling trail connections around the area and linking to Pukehina Beach

How does that sound? Let us know your thoughts by midday, Friday 21 October.
