Books of condolence open
Books of condolence are available at Western Bay of Plenty District Council offices and libraries in Waihi Beach, Katikati, Omokoroa, Tauranga and Te Puke following the devastating events in Christchurch on Friday. The condolence books will open for as long as needed and will eventually be sent to the Mayor of Christchurch and leaders of the Christchurch Muslim community on behalf of the people of the Western Bay.
Aroha nui, Christchurch. Our thoughts are with you during this terrible time. Kia kaha.
Poll: Should all neighbours have to contribute to improvements?
An Auckland court has ruled a woman doesn’t have to contribute towards the cost of fixing a driveway she shares with 10 neighbours.
When thinking about fences, driveways or tree felling, for example, do you think all neighbours should have to pay if the improvements directly benefit them?
