Kelly Dennett Reporter from Sunday Star Times

The Sunday Star-Times is investigating the rising number of consents made for home builds.

Perhaps you're a first-time home owner who has opted to build, rather than buy pre-existing, or maybe you're seasoned home owners who have taken the first step to create your own dream home.

Perhaps you're a first-time home owner who has opted to build, rather than buy pre-existing, or maybe you're seasoned home owners who have taken the first step to create your own dream home.

We'd love to hear from you about the challenges involved in building, and why you've opted to take that route. Any interviewees would need to be willing to be identified and photographed in a news story.

Water pump for sale. Only $175.

Italian made. Flussmatic Hydraulic system “Marina Speroni” 1 Horse Power 2,800 rpm. 50 Hz

Goes very well, but like all these size pumps will lift water up only 7 metres. Our system at Papamoa Beach is now 8 metres above ground water level as we are on a sand dune ridge and levels have fallen 500mm lately so pump can no longer raise water for us. Would suit other areas around Papamoa that are a bit lower though.
