Covid-level permitting, we will be travelling to the exhibition next Wednesday, 19 August. Cost is $25.00pp.for door-to-door transport within the Tauranga/Mt Maunganui/early Papamoa area or en route to Katikati; the exhibition has free entry.
"Connected by clay, this exhibition features ceramics from five studio potters who work in the Katikati region.
Many of these pieces were made as the world shut down during Covid-19 Lockdown.
The diversity of pots in this exhibition reflects the different cultural and professional backgrounds and levels of experience of the artists. Behind each pot there is a story of individual approaches in workin with clay by using different techniques, clay, firing and surface treatment." (Arts Junction flyer)
The exhibition shows varied pottery techniques, including Mixed Media, Raku & Neriage Nerikomi (meaning hand-building with coloured clay).
Following the gallery visit we will give you time to visit the Katikati shops, view the town's range of murals, & have lunch - or you can enjoy your own peaceful picnic lunch perusing the messages on the Haiku Pathway

Hi Neighbours,

We are very excited to announce our donation of 2 defibrillators that have been installed on Mauao summit track and base walk yesterday 🙌

Mauao has over a million people using the tracks every year. Our purpose is to provide these medical facilities as part of our commitment to sustaining a safe and healthy community.
We will be looking after the hardware maintenance of the AED units to ensure they will be operational if required.

Thank you to The Heart Box New Zealand Charity for making this possible ❤️

📍You can now find the units at the junction of Waikorire and Oruahine track, at the top of the stairs and along the base track at the steep track junction.
