Selling your home when you have kids

TIPS TO SELLING YOUR HOME WHEN YOU HAVE KIDS
Get Organised & Prepared
Organise your thoughts and implement a plan. Put away all but 25% of the toys and maybe 1-2 weeks’ worth of clothing

Make a Family Contract
Make a contract with your kids - after all, you are signing lots of papers when you buy and sell your home. Use this as an example. If they are primary age or older, this can be a great life lesson! Find out what motivates them to help get your home ready for showings - let the “market” be the motivator!

Make a Daily Clean-Up Checklist for Kids
Making a checklist for all of the chores that your kids are capable of helping with will set their expectations on the right path. Remind them to make their beds (or do their best to straighten it up), clean off the bathroom counter and hang up towels

Prepare Showing/Open Home Bags
Pre-made showing/open home bags are a great way to take pressure off of you These bags can hold your kid's favourite treats, drinks, a special toy/book, cosy clothes/blanket. Whatever you do, make these fun (something unique that they only get when there’s a showing - it makes that time exciting!)

Set Up Showing Delays
Ask your agent to give you a 24-hour showing notice for each requested showing of your home,

Try to minimise your workload:
Cook your meals on the grill or in the oven in a single dish - less clean up if there isn't a cooktop to wipe down
Think about only using one bathroom - less to clean
Have one place for homework and hide ALL kids craft

RELAX
Remember to stay positive, stick to the plan, and make some good memories with your family during this time. You've got this!

All regions outside of the Auckland and Northland region will move to Alert Level 3 11.59pm Tuesday August 31.

In a press conference Friday afternoon, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern confirmed that Auckland and Northland will likely need to complete a further full two weeks at level 4 in order to keep the Delta variant from spreading further in the regions.

Here's what you need to know
- There will be regional boundaries, there will be no travel allowed between regions unless required for essential services.
- Boundaries maintained in the last February lockdown will be reinstated.
- Around 500 locations of interest have been identified.
- The exposure site in Warkworth is a large workplace. Ardern hoped the people of Northland will understand why they're moving with caution. Northland won't always be grouped in with Auckland.

It’s been going on for weeks & is making it extremely difficult to sleep. I think there’s been a post about this before but it seems louder than ever ? It feels like it’s vibrating right through the ground! My Google ‘research’ suggests these new smart power meters may be the culprit & they are yet another source of radiation?

Bachelor of Humanities

Meet Derek Ereatara who shares his journey with Awanuiārangi. The Bachelor of Humanities programme marked a turning point in Derek’s life.

“The content – indigenous studies, policy and business – fit right in with what I wanted. I knew it would help me personally and in my work with whānau in the health sector. “It helped me to think differently, that opens up your world view.” he says.

Looking at everything with fresh eyes “shifted, enhanced and reinforced” his focus, particularly in working with rangatahi who need one-to-one support.

Awanuiārangi was like a second home, and still is. You just feel welcome.
