“Studying in the Pōkaitahi Reo programme has allowed me to develop a totally beautiful and unique relationship with Māori communities. The learning has helped my work to bridge gaps between Māori and others in our multicultural communities. When I look back, I feel really proud. It’s a great feeling when I speak te reo Māori. It’s a privilege.”

In the past year, concerns have been raised regarding safety due to the narrow shared path and it’s close proximity to the traffic lane.
To keep school kids safe on Links Avenue, a cul-de-sac trial will be taking place from 15 November to 17 December 2021.
This means no thoroughfare on Links Avenue for traffic, except buses, emergency services and rubbish trucks.
We appreciate your cooperation as we work to make it safer for everyone.
