Toastmasters Tokoroa demo meetups

Julian Neighbourly Lead from South Waikato District

Hi South Waikato, At toastmasters we have loads of fun and learn how to conquer our nerves and be great public speakers, we learn to effectively convey the message we intend to and how to express ourselves. It is a very supportive environment where we help each other with encouragement and helpful feedback that we can use to improve, toastmasters has helped me be able speak effectively in front of groups and I would like to help others do the same I enjoyed the value of being mentored and so I love mentoring others, Tokoroa toastmasters are having another demo meetup this Thursday night at Tokoroa club, 7pm upstairs in the blue room, it is free to come along and see what it is all about and I am very exited to meet you. Please check out our facebook page @Tokoroa Forestlands Toastmasters we keep it updated with articles notifications and events

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

DOC is rolling out a new tool to help figure out what to tackle first when it comes to protecting our threatened species and the things putting them at risk.

Why does this matter? As Nikki Macdonald from The Post points out, we’re a country with around 4,400 threatened species. With limited time and funding, conservation has always meant making tough calls about what gets attention first.

For the first time, DOC has put real numbers around what it would take to do everything needed to properly safeguard our unique natural environment. The new BioInvest tool shows the scale of the challenge: 310,177 actions across 28,007 sites.

Now that we can see the full picture, it brings the big question into focus: how much do we, as Kiwis, truly value protecting nature — and what are we prepared to invest to make it happen?

We hope this brings a smile!

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Waikato farmers are leading the way! 🚜🐄 With exports booming and "stellar seasons" on the books, our farmers are pumping value back into the region.

Even with a cautious approach to spending, the benefits are slowly making their way into the local economy.

We want to know: Are you feeling more optimistic about our local economy lately?
