Taupō customer experience among best in the country
Taupō District Council has been named one of the top council’s in the country for customer experience.
The council’s customer services team took out second place in the Customer Experience Award, presented as part of the 2019 Association of Local Government Information Management (ALGIM) Spring Conference.
The awards were judged on a mystery shopper's experience that anonymously assessed customer services and responses.
Head of communications and customer relations Lisa Nairne said the award confirmed the team’s commitment to excellent customer service.
“The community is always at the forefront of everything we do and to be recognised so highly – out of 78 local authorities across the country – is a great achievement.”
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
