This year, the focus is around a reduction in plastics globally, and here in Taupō we can do our part by picking up litter and educating ourselves in ways we can help clean up and recycle plastics in our region.
So how can we do our part? Come and help us tidy up!
Following on from tree-planting days and previous litter pick-up events, Taupō District Council has an ongoing commitment to providing green options for our waste, in addition to reducing our overall carbon footprint and being responsible environmental citizens.
Join the team at the Float Plane car park in Ferry Road where volunteers will be split up to cover different areas, including the Tongariro domain, our lakefront and CBD.
