Proposed changes to speed limits

The Taupō District Council are proposing changes to speed limits in and around the Taupō area and are seeking public opinion.

Proposed changes:
- Reducing Lake Terrace from 100 to 80km/h from Rainbow Point
- reducing Napier Rd from 80 to 50km/h at the bottom (including Kiddle Dr) and from 100 to 80 km/h above DeBretts (including Crown Rd)
- reducing the Acacia Bay Straight from 100 to 80km/h, extending the 50km/h sections on either side
- reducing Wakeman Rd from 70 to 50km/h.
