30 Player Simultaneous Exhibition

Ron from Papakura

Franklin Chess Club Pukekohe
Hi all our 30 player Simul against the visiting Bulgarian Grandmaster Dejan Bojkov went Brilliantly the GM scored 29.5 to .5 in our Simul , the same GM is back in January next year and we will play him again the GM played at least 72 games whilst in New Zealand and won them all except one which ended in a draw young Xxavier from Waiuku College (at our Simul in Pukekohe) managed the only positive result of vthe GM`s tour by battling to a very meritorious draw against the GM so Dejan`s overall score was 71.5 to .5 !.
Attached is a Group Simul pic taken before battle commenced. Thanks for the Great pics Hilton!
Also you are more than Welcome to come and have a squizz at our OTB Franklin Chess Club setup, we are currently meet on the first Thursday of each month (except January) at 7pm upstairs in the Stevenson Room at the Pukekohe Library but as from the 13th February we will meet at the Pukekohe High School on the first Thursday of each Month at 7pm
Cheers

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
