Waimakariri council warned 'several times' about dangerous dogs prior to attack, residents say
Multiple complaints had been made about five dogs which attacked a woman and her dog in North Canterbury last week, despite contrary claims made by the Waimakariri District Council.
Neighbours of the dogs' owner have come forward after Larissa Corboy and her dog Mouse were left needing surgery following the vicious attack. They said they had warned the council about the dogs on several occasions.
Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
