Even though we're drawing to a close ...
We have several weeks still to play before we close down for summer so a reminder that Levin Table Tennis plays Monday and Thursday mornings 9am to 12 noon at the Uniting Church hall, south end of town. We don't have a joining fee, it's just $3 per session which includes a cuppa and biscuit. First visit is free. Never played or hot shot ... all welcome. If you want to try we can lend you a club bat. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
