Even though we're drawing to a close ...
We have several weeks still to play before we close down for summer so a reminder that Levin Table Tennis plays Monday and Thursday mornings 9am to 12 noon at the Uniting Church hall, south end of town. We don't have a joining fee, it's just $3 per session which includes a cuppa and biscuit. First visit is free. Never played or hot shot ... all welcome. If you want to try we can lend you a club bat. Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
