Demolition firewood at $20 a trailer load

Donald from Swannanoa - Ohoka

I have a large amount of demolition wood suitable for cutting up for firewood. The wood comes from Christchurch demolition sites; the good wood has been sorted to be recycled so what I have is what's left! It may have nails, paint or borer. The wood is not suitable for making things with.

Access to the wood is excellent on firm ground. Pick up is from (East) Eyreton and I'm home much of the time but it would be sensible to text me first before you come.
Please note that you will be required to sign a short form saying that you take full responsibility for your health and safety. I recommend that you use gloves and have good footwear.

Price: $20

Yet it is not part of our school curriculum.

Some experts say that has to change. It is such an existential threat that not to make it a requirement to teach children about climate change is doing them a great disservice, they say.

Ronny Hiller raced to the nearest automated external defibrillator (AED) at Woodend Community Centre, in North Canterbury, but found he needed to call 111 again for a code to unlock it. It took the operator five minutes to find the code.

St John medical director Tony Smith said there was no legal requirement for the ambulance service to be informed of the location of publicly available AEDs but he encouraged people to let them know and register the location of the device on the New Zealand AED Locations website.

I was thinking of the kind that farmers put over the top of their hay while it is in the paddock-they look really thick and waterproof, not like the tarps you get in Mitre 10, etc. It is roughly about 30ft long by 8ft wide.
