Flatbed turntable thingy [Update - taken]

John Neighbourly Lead from Titahi Bay

This started life as the baseplate for an IBM 1621 paper tape reader for a 1960s IBM 1620 computer. The sprung buffer arms and rollers ensure the paper tape was under a constant gentle tension. I added the brass/aluminium platters to handle 16mm film and magnetic film, although I never finished the magnetic recorder I had in mind. The platters run on 1/2" shafts and good quality bearings. Perhaps it would be useful to someone, for something. Text me on 021-609-752

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
