How did you choose what school to send your kids to?
Tēna koutou neighbours, The Post is currently investigating school zoning. We're interested to hear from parents/whānau about how they decided what school to send their children to. Did you send your child(ren) to the school you're in zone for (or the nearest school if you don't live inside a particular zone)? Did you enroll your child in a school out-of-zone? Did you move house to get into a particular school/zone? Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
