Paekakariki Music Night 25 May
Happy to announce that since the inaugural Paekakariki Music Night on 27 April went so well, we are going to do it again, on 25 May at St Peter's Hall. An Open Mic - Blackboard Concert: sign up at the door if you would like to play or sing: all welcome to give it a go! Sound system available. Or just come along and listen. Entry by koha to cover the Hall costs and sound, otherwise non-profit.

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?
The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.
This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
