HEATING!!! In a new house... Thoughts, opinion & experience please. Our new build is getting to the stage where we need to make a decision re heating. The house is 193sqm with 3.5 bedrooms & an open plan living area. The water & hob will be gas. We want to be able to zone the rooms so that we're only heating the rooms we use. Ducted heat pump vs gas central heating vs HRV/DVS system... HELP PLEASE!!! Pros and cons. Thanks so much.
*Please put NFP with your comments if you don't want them printed in next week's Kapi-Mana Newspaper thanks!*

We have some yummy Whittaker’s chocolate to give away. To be in to win, tag a friend on our Facebook event page www.facebook.com... to tell them why they matter to you and let them know what hopes you have for them in the coming year.

The competition closes at 5pm next Sunday, 25 June, and a winner will be randomly drawn and announced on Monday lunchtime.

*This competition is not open to members of Ahu Charitable Trust.

Have you invited all your family and friends yet?). We have grand plans for the event but there are only 7 of us, and unfortunately we don't have access to a cloning machine, so we would really appreciate it if some of you could spare a couple of hours to help out during the event.

The tasks we need help with include: doing simple kids face painting (using stencils to make it easy), serving hot drinks, and stewarding people along the route of the Starry Night walk (ie from the school, through the Secret Valley and back - we need people stationed at specific points along the route).

As a small thank you for donating your time, you will get a free sausage sizzle and hot drink.

If you're interested and would like more details, please get in touch with me asap. Thanks <3

Cheers to the Volunteers

Fire and Emergency New Zealand

Every year, over 11,000 brave men and women keep us safe. Most of them are working full-time jobs. Many are parents or grandparents. All of them are doing their bit to put out fires, save lives and keep the station working.

If you know a fire volunteer, this is your chance to say thanks. … View more
