Titahi Bay Beach Festival

Pen-e from Titahi Bay

Kia ora whanau, as the Titahi Bay beach festival is creeping up fast with only a few weeks away, we are all getting extremely excited!! Amazing food, entertainment and beach activities. We will provide free sun screen. For the kids activities we will provide some equipment such as shovels, buckets and balls but to ensure everyone gets a go, it may pay to bring your own shovels and buckets. Make sure they are labelled and are close to you.
We are seeking any help from the community, scouts, girl guides to donate an hour or so of your time to supervise some of the children's activities and to make sure everything is running smoothly around this area. (just simply PM me or the beach festival page)
We will have volleyball, ring toss, ball throwing, sand castles and a big dig going all day. At 4pm we will have sack races and tug of war to test your strengths.

So come along! Bring your shovels, buckets and picnic baskets, relax and enjoy a wonderful afternoon with friends and whanau

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
