Performing Arts Studio, PATAKA Art + Museum - Corner Parumoana and Norrie Street, Porirua -- Beautiful blooms and exhibition display, fabulous plants, produce, preserves and raffles for sale, workshops and a cafe. Grab some plants at very reasonable pricing this weekend at the Flower Show.

Sunday 25 August 10.00am – 3.00pm
Admission: Adults $5, children free

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
