Shop Assistant - Brooklyn

Volunteer Wellington

Do you love op shops and connecting with your local community? One of our member organisations is looking for volunteers to join their suburban Thrift and Gift store in Brooklyn. They are a not-for-profit store where the profits are donated quarterly to organisations in the local community. For this role, you will need a friendly nature and confidence in handling interactions and sales with customers. You will need to be prepared to pitch in to keep the shop tidy and you will be in charge of opening and closing the store, overseeing the floor throughout the shift and processing sales. Training will be provided! For more information, and to register your interest, please see our website at:

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.

We want to know: As the world evolves, what skills do you think give a CV the ultimate edge in a robot-filled workplace?
