Wooden ramp sited alongside a caravan to give away. This will need dismantling but I don't think it will be to difficult a job. This was installed approx. June/July last year and is now no longer needed. Some dogs feel anxious and fearful of other dogs and people – if you crowd a scared dog, they may become aggressive out of fear. Chances are their owner will be trying to keep some distance between you anyway – help them out by giving them that extra space.
If you have a nervous dog, do use a yellow ribbon on their collar or lead when you're out, and don't be afraid to advocate for them. You can read more about this, and keeping your dog safe in summer, at www.kapiticoast.govt.nz...

This is an active worksite with a partially removed tree so for your safety, stay well clear of the area, especially while it’s so windy.
Please also avoid using the informal track between the reserve and The Crescent, and follow the directions of any signage on site.
While the strong winds are here, be careful out there!
- Strong wind gusts like these could damage trees, powerlines and unsecured structures.
- Take extra care on the roads (especially for high-sided vehicles and motorcycles)
- Secure any outdoor items like wheelie bins, trampolines and outdoor furniture that may blow around.
If you see anything that needs our attention, report it via our free Antenno app, or call 0800 486 486.

We are on the hunt for a small sized hut to go inside my daughter's bedroom for Sooty, her giant rabbit. She has a palace in the garden, but thought a dog crate or small hutch would work well when we want to keep her safe (when we aren't there to watch the cats or dog around her).

Did you know that at Kāpiti Coast District Council, we:
– do at least 7,300 manual water tests each year on our four water bodies (lap pool, programmes pool, spa pool, and hydroslide)
– do a minimum of 4,380 analyser tests in a year – there are often more!
– do 104 backwashes on the spa every year (this takes about 30 minutes each time)
– backwash the lap and programmes pools at least 50 times a year – these take about 30 minutes on the programmes pool and about 40 minutes on the lap pool
– rotate lifeguards every 15 minutes through the day – that means 146,328 rotations each year!
Get wet at Coastlands Aquatics Centre – come and spend the day!
