Voices in the Wind choir concerts
The next Voices in the Wind concerts will take place on Wednesday 15 October and Sunday 19 October. These are sure to be crowd-pleasing concerts, as we proudly present Music from the Movies. Toe tapping, sentimental, haunting, energetic, and nostalgic, we will offer a smorgasbord of nearly two dozen choral and solo numbers from 19 different films.
Wednesday 15 October, 7:30 pm at St Barnabas, Mana Esplanade, Porirua or
Sunday 19 October, 3:00 pm at Tawa Baptist Church, Main Road, Tawa

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
