The sprung buffer arms and rollers ensure the paper tape was under a constant gentle tension. I added the brass/aluminium platters to handle 16mm film and magnetic film, although I never finished the magnetic recorder I had in mind. The platters run on 1/2" shafts and good quality bearings. EFTPOS is now available at Battle Hill Farm. The opening of Transmission Gully has meant that Battle Hill Farm now has good cell phone/internet coverage.
Mana Lions will also have EFTPOS facility on the day supplying cash for those fair goers requiring it.
The proceeds from the day will support Wellington Free Ambulance and local Porirua Community Charities.

On Yolanda's birthday, her husband had a major heart attack. They had an entire day planned, but then life threw a spanner into the works.
Yolanda asked Amelie to feed her cat, Koda, but Amelie's family went over and above. They cooked dinners two nights in a row and sent yummy treats during the tough time.
“I was really touched by their love, prayers and generosity. They are amazing. I couldn’t wish for better neighbours,” said Yolanda.
