SuicideTALK workshop
New Zealand's suicide rate remains alarmingly high. A total of 579 Kiwis took their own lives in the 2016 financial year.
Once again, New Zealand's suicide toll is the worst it's been since the Coroner's Office began keeping records in 2008.
There needs to be more discussion about suicide prevention and how family, friends and colleagues could identify someone at risk and help them get professional support.
Te Ara Korowai is facilitating a 2 hour workshop on 2nd June in the Kapiti Community Centre to make local people more aware of suicide.
Please see the information attached to book a place.
Together we can have meaningful conversations that could potentially save lives.
