In it he concludes that Labour and Jacinda Ardern are too nice, a fatal flaw. Is this where we have got to? Where being nice is regarded as a character flaw? The weakest link in the election campaign? What hope is there for humanity, or indeed the planet, if this is the case? The article also describes Jacinda as "a well meaning princess", and with international womens day foremost today, the mysogeny came through loud and clear. I noted that Jacinda has no problem taking it to the Nats or the Aussies if this is warranted.

I bet those people working on the minimum wage didnt think the raise they got was "too nice" they probably thought it was long overdue. Single mums and people with disabilities who couldnt afford to plug in the heater, didnt think the winter energy payment was too much, and people struggling with medical bills didnt regard the reduction to $17 for a consultation as over the top either. But then, media celebs are probably not the people most helped by the changes Labour has made.

And the good thing about being nice, is that it stands out in stark contrast to the indifference of the last National government.

An amazing collection of aircraft of various sizes, carrying out an equally amazing range of flying demonstrations. We saw a big topdresser, pylon racers, a large helicopter - even a real jet - and many others, flown with great skill, by pilots both young and older. It has been a long time since I have seen such accomplished flying. Today will provide another day of fantastic flying, so head out to QE2 park and take the road down towards the beach - the flying field is on the right (signposted). I;m sure you will enjoy it and the families (especially the kids) that attended yesterday were all so excited, Thank you Kapiti Aeromodellers for a most enjoyable day.

Every year, around 130,000 Kiwis fall victim to identity theft, with passport details the most commonly stolen information.

We’re wondering what Wellingtonians think about the use of biometric identifiers to unlock devices. Not just physical markers such as fingerprints and facial recognition, but also behavioural characteristics such as finger movements and gestures.

Would you feel safer online if you didn’t have to remember a list of passwords? Or would you feel uneasy about your device being able to recognise you from your micro-movements, for example? And, have you ever had your personal information stolen?

Our Coordinator at Hastings District Council recently sent us this snap from a get together with residents from a new suburb who are keen to get Neighbourhood Support up and running.

To gauge interest, he hosted a free barbecue at a park with the support of their local New Zealand Police to bring neighbours together to discuss setting it up. Every group is different in how it chooses to operate. Our policy is whatever works best for your area!
