Every family has a story about how they came to be where they are today. Did you, your parents, grandparents, or ancestors move from one country to another? Be inspired. Join us for the 5 weekly 2.5-hour local series of Write Your Story community workshops that commence on Friday 29th August, 9.30-12 noon Paraparaumu Aquatic Centre. Get started and gain momentum on your writing project in a supportive, fun environment. All that is needed is an open mind, a notebook, and a pen. Course notes and refreshments are provided. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
