Veggie Seedlings and Potted Colour at Waikanae Market tomorrow

Val from Otaki District

Garlic, spring onions, and celery
The weather has been against garlic planters: too much moisture. Cloves have rotted in the ground. We have well established plants ready to go into your garden beds and ramp away. The price of garlic has gone through the roof, so secure your supply now. $5.00 per punnet or 3 punnets for $12.00.
Also celery, spring onions and a limited amount of Broccoli and other brassica.

Looking for a bit of brightness in your flower beds or some pots on the doorstep? We all need a bit of cheering up. We have large potted colour polyanthus, violas, and pansies that will brighten up your garden beds, pots or just fill a few gaps and flower through until late spring.

Look for our stall partway down Park Avenue.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
