Governance Mentoring Programme
Volunteer Wellington, in partnership with Mentoring Foundation of NZ, is offering a Governance Mentoring Programme to strengthen leadership in the community and voluntary sector. This programme matches mentees with experienced mentors to build governance capability, confidence and connections.
Participants will receive:
✔ One-on-one mentoring with an experienced governance leader
✔ Training, orientation, and six months of support
✔ Development goal setting and networking opportunities
Programme dates: 29 April – 11 Nov 2025
Mentee fee: $75 | Mentors: Free

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
