BEWARE.... New Scam Emails

Gareth from Waikanae

I just got an email from my cousin Eric in the UK but the address it was sent from looked more than a little bit dodgy.

The address was: -

18-1-16-0...@ sol-du.ac.in

Saying that it was from Eric and there was a supposed photo attached that needed an URL opening to see.

I didn't open it.

Just be aware that it looks like the scammers have found another way in.

If as it looks like Eric's account could have been hacked, it is Virginmedia account in the UK OR it may be that Virgin have had a security breach and had their client list stolen.

The address it was from shows as an Academic address in India and Eric is in the UK.

Happy 2022 to one and all,
Cheers
G

Poll: As a customer, what do you think about automation?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Press investigates the growing reliance on your unpaid labour.

Automation (or the “unpaid shift”) is often described as efficient ... but it tends to benefit employers more than consumers.

We want to know: What do you think about automation?
Are you for, or against?
