Kapiti Community Foodbank - Building Fund Appeal

Maree from Waikanae Beach

Our building fund is heading in the right direction!

Thank you to all those people who donated to our building fund appeal last week - we now have a total of $102,572.50 in the bank.

Now we only need just over $47,000 to achieve our goal of $150,000.

Remember there are two super easy ways to donate:

1) via our new give-a-little page
2) direct donation portal on our website www.thekapitifoodbank.co.nz....

Thanks again to everyone who has contributed so far - every dollar helps, so please dig deep.

Remember, we have special advertising opportunities in our new building - perfect for businesses who might be able to donate princely sums :)

Take care
From the team at the Kapiti Community Foodbank

Poll: Do you think NZ should ban social media for youth?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Australian Prime Minister has expressed plans to ban social media use for children.

This would make it illegal for under 16-year-olds to have accounts on platforms including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X.
Social media platforms would be tasked with ensuring children have no access (under-age children and their parents wouldn’t be penalised for breaching the age limit)
.
Do you think NZ should follow suit? Vote in our poll and share your thoughts below.
