Cycle Helmet did its job

Ross from Paraparaumu

Just a short note to say thanks to all the kind people to stopped to help me following a nasty cycle accident on Milne Drive last Saturday. Thanks for all you support at the scene and for the many messages you left in our letter box and phone calls. I ended up in Lower Hutt ICU for a 2night stay where a brilliant Surgeon and his team put me back together after shattering my jaw. As you can see the helmet I was wearing split in half as did my bike.I was very very lucky and am very grateful to all of the health service people who took such great care of me. So if you have a family member who is out biking to get some exercise during the lockdown, make sure they wear their helmet as well. Regards Ross Vessey
