Key points to know:
– The Land Transport Rule: Setting of Speed Limits 2022 requires all road-controlling authorities to develop Speed Management Plans.
– This draft Speed Management Plan outlines what a transport network *could* look like in 10 years.
– It also provides a three-year implementation programme for ‘high-benefit areas’ identified by Waka Kotahi.
– We’re asking for feedback on proposals to reduce speed limits outside 20 Kāpiti schools, on three road corridors and in five town centres before 2027.
– We're also asking for feedback on options for speed management beyond 2027.
Submissions close 9 June 2023, so there's plenty of time to read the plan and provide responses.

Feel free to ring 022 387 4094, email benefitadvocacykapiti@gmail.com or just pop in for a cuppa on Mondays 😊😊😊
It would be wonderful if you could pass our details on, particularly to people who don't have access to the internet - their lives made even harder by government departments all having (sometimes impenetrable) websites, and the confusing world of RealMe, MyMSD, MyIR....
(There is also someone at Cameo on Monday mornings to help you with phone and computer problems, don't forget!)

We asked, listened, and collaborated directly with farmers in the making of this gear. We tested and re-tested in on-farm environments. We re-engineered what farming workwear can be with your needs front of mind. We brought our decades of experience creating world-class performance gear. Add to that a legacy of Kiwi innovation, a challenger spirit and a practical attitude that’s been part of Line 7 since we started back in 1963.
Every detail has been reviewed and refined – without overlooking the obvious. Breathable, flexible, functional and comfortable, while still being supremely durable and waterproof. Made to fit farmers of all shapes and sizes, with a dedicated range for women. Built to last, and last a bit longer still, with an included repair kit that means you can fix it up quickly yourself.
Now take it out there, try it on and put it to the test. Wear it out and wear it again. We’re pretty damn confident you won’t be disappointed.

Ten kahikatea were planted in His Majesty’s honour by Mayor Janet Holborow, Council kaumatua Te Rakauoteora Te Maipi and local tamariki as an acknowledgement of the King’s commitment to conservation and sustainability.
Kahikatea are a representation of mana – the mana of the King and the mana of Tāne Mahuta, god of forests. We also encourage people to plant a native tree in their backyard as a way to mark this special occasion.
His Majesty King Charles III’s coronation will be televised on TVNZ 1, Saturday 6 May from 10pm. To find out more, visit www.kapiticoast.govt.nz...
