Another scam….Beware

Kev from Peka Peka

I have just received this message ( below) on my Wats App.. allegedly from my daughter. This is a SCAM and it is the second time I have received it. The first time after acknowledging her request and texting her over a few days I genuinely thought it was her because the scammer somehow knew so much about me. Then they pounced and it cost me a lot of money. ……….Delete and report

Hi dad. Changed to OneNZ. Temporarily using this number till I get my old one back. Can you send me a message on WhatsApp using this number #########

ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED

Gary from Waikanae

Our grandson (20) recently moved to Kapiti from Taranaki and is looking for accommodation. Anything considered.
He describes himself as clean and tidy, friendly but a bit reserved and quiet.
I would add trustworthy and family orientated.

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
