Selling To Help My Friend Financially While She Battles Cancer

Grace from Otaki District

Hey everyone!

I’m selling this Headunit to help my friend with her finances while she’s battling cancer, she’s only 30 years old and is facing this long and difficult battle while also raising her 3 month old baby girl with her partner.

I’d really love to help give them all a bit of financial security while she’s receiving treatment, she’s in Australia and even though she’s been working her backside off, working more than full time and the Australia Govt has been happily accepted the taxes she’s paid for at least 6+ years, but all because she’s a NZ Citizen and technically not in a “permanent work position” as a contractor, the Australian Govt is unfairly refusing to give her any financial support while she’s unable to work which I find ridiculous 😤

Even though I’m struggling financially myself and facing bankruptcy, I’m at least getting some financial support whereas she’s now not getting any, so I really want to help support her seeing as I can’t be there for her in person.

Asking for $550, any questions are welcome and so are serious offers.

It was only used for a couple of months and is still in brand new condition, if you are close by, my partner is willing to install the headunit for you for a small additional fee.

Details are below:

JVC KW-M560BT Touchscreen Head Unit

It’s a brilliant head unit, it’s hardly been used as the touchscreen features were unsuitable for the layout of my car so I’ve had to downgrade 😞 but I’ve decided to sell it to try and help my friend financially during her cancer battle 💞

Drop off/delivery, pick up available as well as shipping at buyers expense

Cash or Bank Transfer ONLY - please advise in advance if you’re wanting to pay by bank transfer and are picking up

Price: $550

Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙

One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.

So we want to hear what you think:
Should the government ask these industries to contribute?
