Waikanae Arts and. Crafts Society - Indoor Market Day
Put a circle around Saturday 19 October, 9.00am to 3.00pm, to come along to our indoor market day at our rooms, 27a Elizabeth St, Waikanae (over the railway line). Items for sale include embroidery, spinning, knitting, weaving, paintings, cards, fresh produce, plants, baking and raffles. For the first time there will also be a ‘craft stash’ table. Come along and see what’s for sale.
Poll: Should the government levy industries that contribute to financial hardship?
As reported in the Post, there’s a $30 million funding gap in financial mentoring. This has led to services closing and mentors stepping in unpaid just to keep helping people in need 🪙💰🪙
One proposed solution? Small levies on industries that profit from financial hardship — like banks, casinos, and similar companies.
