A second drizzly front mid afternoon/evening produced another 13 mm.

Despite the switch to summer time, and the equinox last evening when the sun crossed the equator to our hemisphere, the next few weeks are renowned for their unsettled, windy weather, so it's not a good time to travel.

The next meeting of The Lions Club of Kapiti is to be held on Tuesday 2 October at the Ocean Road Community Centre (Formerly The Senior Citizens Hall) in Ocean Road.

We will be having a meal ($26.00 per head) and listening to Our Speaker, Cheryl Murray talking about the Neighbourhood support initiative.

This will be followed by a “brief” business session.

We meet at 6.00pm for a 6.30pm meal and we finish at about 8.30pm.

If you would like to attend and meet members of the club and also observe what we are about please advise Andrew Laing at andthel@outlook.com by Midday on Friday 29 September so we can confirm catering numbers.

Great to see they're doing the healthy options.
(but will it stop them despising people who are poor, disabled, sick, unemployed etc. We doubt it...)
