Heirloom Veggie Plants Waikanae Market this Saturday
Wow, it's amazing what a week of warmer weather, plus just the right amount of rain, can do!
Tomatoes have doubled in size. These are good strong plants, grown outdoors and hardened off so they are ready to go straight into your garden or planters. Still a good range of heirloom varieties to choose from.
Plenty of Cucumbers, including the legendary New Zealand heirloom, Port Albert. Plus Gherkins.
Pumpkin include Butternut, Buttercup, Whangaparoa Crown, Queensland Blue and Kumi Kumi (Kamo Kamo).
Herbs: Mint and Chives. Basil should be ready by next week.
We've had poor germination with our bean seeds but hope to have Dwarf and Runner Beans ready very shortly.
Poll: Are our Kiwi summer holidays helping us recharge, or holding the economy back? ☀️🥝
There’s growing debate about whether New Zealand’s extended Christmas break (and the slowdown that comes with it) affects productivity.
Tracy Watkins has weighed in ... now it’s your turn. What’s your take? 🤔
