COMMUNITY OPEN DAY
Mahara Gallery is moving offsite while the building undergoes a much-needed redevelopment.
We're holding a Community Open Day, Saturday 30 October, 10am till 1pm to farewell the old building and celebrate our exciting future.
Come along to learn about the gallery's history, its upgrade and our interim plans.
You'll be able to help make the final artwork in the gallery, which will be created by you sharing your memories of Mahara.
Poll: Do you think banning gang patches is reasonable?
With the government cracking down on gangs, it is now illegal for gang members to display their insignia in public places whether through clothing or their property.
This means arrests can be made if these patches are worn in places like restaurants, shops, on public transport or ferries, and on airplanes. Arrests were made recently at a funeral.
