Creating a functional home office 🖥️

Matt from Matt Wineera - Thats Real Estate with Matt Wineera

✨ Working from home can be tough, but a functional workspace is a game-changer! Whether you're full-time remote, balancing office and home, or need a spot for personal tasks, a functional and inviting space is key.

🌟 Start by finding the right spot in your house. It’s not about size but making the most of what you have. Turn an oversized bedroom into a multi-purpose room. For productivity, natural lighting is vital, so place your desk near a window and add a desk lamp for those late-night work sessions.

🖥️ Choosing the right desk is crucial. Choose a simple design with just the essentials on display. Keep your space fresh by changing art and decor regularly, adding a rug for warmth, and bringing in plants.

🪑 Don’t forget a relaxing spot in your office like an armchair for reviewing documents.

🗂️ Stay organised! A tidy desk boosts focus. Use a locker cabinet for essential files and digital folders for everything else. A weekly clean-up keeps clutter at bay and sets you up for a productive week.

Have fun creating your home office space 🤗

Suellen’s sweet Christmas tradition

Bob Owens Retirement Village

The festive season is always a great excuse to indulge your sweet tooth, and this time of year poses the perfect opportunity to bring a real showstopper to the Christmas table.

For Suellen’s family, that showstopper is Croquembouche, an impressive tower of cream puffs bound together with spun sugar that is popular at weddings in France and Italy.

What began as a birthday treat at a local French café has become a cherished Christmas tradition for Suellen and her 17-year-old twin granddaughters, Ellie and Sadie. Every year, the trio gather in Suellen’s apartment at William Sanders Village to cook this festive dessert - a holiday highlight they all treasure.
