Expect delays on SH2 near Te Puna this weekend

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The NZ Transport Agency advises road users to expect delays on State Highway 2 between Omokoroa Road and Esdaile Road in Tauranga again this Saturday 1st September, between 7am and 5pm while further tree felling & maintenance work is carried out.

The Transport Agency would like to remind motorists this is a hazardous operation that requires all traffic to be stopped while each tree is felled. Stop/Go traffic management will be in place, with a 30km/h temporary speed limit through the work site.

Northbound light vehicles/cars will be required to use the fully signed detour route to minimise their delay and allow the work to be carried out more quickly. The detour route is Left into Youngson Road, Right into Old Highway, Right into Esdaile Road to return to SH2. Read more here.
