Dishwasher repair update

Diane from Mount Maunganui

Really impressed with BOP Appliances on Hull Rd at the Mt (opposite where the Mt Police Station is now). When I went to see someone in the office about getting a repairman to come and have a look at a dishwasher that we'd had stored in the garden shed and it wasn't draining the office lady asked me firstly was it running ok otherwise, and then she said to take the dishwasher out and check that the hose at the back hadn't been twisted when installing it (just as one person on previous post had mentioned about what happened to their newly installed machine) and to ring to cancel the repairman if that was all it was to avoid paying the $65 Callout fee. (Someone ese I know had a fridge repairman when she thought it was still under warranty but when she found the receipt afterwards discovered the warranty had just run out a month beforehand so wasn't covered and their callout fee was just over double that, so it pays to ask what callout fee is first). I was asked by office lady what the time that best suited me and when I emailed in advance to say that I was going to be half an hr late she emailed back to say that the repairman had been told and then rang when the repairman was on his way. Unfortunately the hose wasn't the problem. Instead he thought the pump wasn't working at all when he put the machine on and told me if that was the case it was irreplaceable. It ended up being that the pump wire wasn't on when he checked for that and said it had been damaged. He was able to get the wire back on and explained that the pump still wasn't rotating like it should do but it at least is working for now. From all this I thought he did a very thorough job and appreciated his explanations as to what was happening as he worked. I found the office ladies very informative and accommodating and the end result was a machine that now runs. Dread to think of the bill that's coming but at least the machine now works again. Diane

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Reserve Bank has shared some pretty blunt advice: there’s no such thing as a “safe” job anymore 🛟😑

Robots are stepping into repetitive roles in factories, plants and warehouses. AI is taking care of the admin tasks that once filled many mid-level office jobs.
