Thinking hats on people - HOW CAN YOU HELP REDUCE WASTE?
.... perhaps someone could sew up re useable bags for use at the green grocers .... maybe even a purpose built facility out at the Waste Transfer Station that could house the Menzshed and all its amazing equipment, and the Feilding Repair CAFE so it could operate more regularly ... or even a business or someone with space setting up the Terracycle New Zealand recycling system - many ways to do something....

Waste Not Want Not fund is the ultimate opportunity for anyone with a unique project or idea to minimise waste. This fund is dedicated to supporting practical sustainability initiatives related to waste minimisation.

Three categories of funding are available: Community, Business Waste Reduction, and Innovation.

Waste Not Want Not fund is funded as part of the Waste Levy fees paid by waste disposal operators to the Ministry for the Environment, which is then allocated to local Councils to administer.
