Santa's Workshop
Santa’s Workshop returns this year at the City Library with a whole new set of workshops on offer to help you make your very own Christmas gifts. Starting Monday 17 December each day until Friday 21 December, attend as many workshops as you like!
All the workshops are free and all materials are provided. Crafts are appropriate for all ages. Give the gift of hand-made with love this Christmas. 17-21 December, Ground Floor, Central Library, 11am-3pm (except Friday 9.30am-12pm).

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
